About this book
Eighteen-year-old Raven was just an ordinary vampire until Fate chose her as the new vampire queen. And Fate has a twisted sense of humor because it chose Rhyland Midnitegale as king, who just happens to be her sworn enemy.
Raven isn’t thrilled about ruling with Rhyland, but if she doesn’t step up to her title, the chaos, rebellions, and murders taking over the vampire world will only continue to get worse. So she accepts the position, but secretly hopes that maybe Fate will change its mind.
She soon learns that being queen comes with many rules. Rules that bind her heart and soul to Rhyland in ways she never imagined. Rules that keep her life out of danger from outside threats. Rules that she must follow or the entire vampire kingdom pays the price.
But dangers may be lurking close by, and Raven may be cursed with more than just the title of the queen.
4.5 Super Cute PNR YA Book > Light disappointment about the way the lead female is constant kept out of the loop!
The characters read a bit the same as the Capuring Magic Series by Jessica Sorensen I have read last week. And this book also contains a female character that is kept out of the loop. while other characters let her know they know more. It was annoying in with the Capuring Magic books and it was frustrating to read in this installment of the Curse of the Vampire Queen. These are all the books of Jessica Sorensen I have read. But I hope it is not a theme that contains all her books.
Book 2 of the Curse of the Vampire Queen is on our to read list. Keep track of it on our site!
“While sitting in a room, surrounded by powerful vampires, do you ever get the feeling that you’re completely out of place? That at any moment one of them would drink your blood? That at any moment one of them will drink your blood? And there’s not a damn thing you can do about it because you’re not a powerful vampire. You’re just a plain, old—well, maybe not old since I’m only eighteen—average vampire, which basically means I’m an eighteen-year-old girl with slightly above average pale skin, super pointy teeth, and a thirst for blood. That’s never happened to you before? Huh, strange. Then”
